BIRD OF ODIN

Based on a late Bronze Age, pre-Viking find, possibly originally made for the top of a staff. Although resembling an owl, the bird motif is often associated with Odin and therefore is more likely to represent a raven. The original is bronze, approximately 7cms high and is in the Statens Historika Museum, Stockholm, Sweden.
